About us
Jennifer Muir, Cory Smith, and Kirby Lee are three death doulas and caregivers who have been serving together in community. We formed this collective because we’ve seen how supportive it can be for individuals and families to be held by a team, especially during vigil and after-death care, when steady, shared presence matters most.

Jennifer Muir is a death care worker, contemplative caregiver, sound therapist, mother and devotee to the path of the heart. Attuned to compassion, she supports individuals and families through end of life navigation by meeting each person/family at their specific point of need. Jennifer's approach is tailored to honor distinct perspectives and requirements of those she supports.
In navigating the active dying process, her support may include contemplative death planning, spiritual support, sitting vigil at the bedside, offering respite to family members, contemplative presence, guided meditation and visualization, sound therapy, after death and grief care, among other forms of assistance.
Additionally, Jennifer draws upon her extensive study in both mystical Christianity and Tibetan Buddhism. Through this integration of wisdom and practice, she offers a deeply embodied presence adaptable to a wide range of circumstances.
Jennifer's mission is to offer care, presence, and grounded spiritual companionship that helps people meet life, and death, with greater trust, spaciousness, and love.Kirby is in service to people at the end of life as a doula, caregiver, and home funeral guide. She began accompanying the dying while living in Central Mexico for two years, where she trained and worked alongside a team of life, death, and transition doulas through the Elisabeth Kübler-Ross Foundation. Since then, she has cared for hundreds of individuals through her work with Hudson Valley Hospice, community death care homes including East Mountain House and Circle Home, and private families. Drawing from lived experience, she supports families and communities in feeling more confident and empowered to care for their loved ones through the dying process and after death. As a certified Hospice Home Health Aide, Kirby is able to provide skilled hands-on care alongside emotional and spiritual care including life review, vigil accompaniment, after-death care and home funeral guidance. Her work is rooted in gentle, heart-centered presence, offering steadiness and compassionate support through one of life’s most sacred transitions.
Death is our friend, precisely because it brings us into absolute and passionate presence with all that is here, that is natural, that is love. - Rainer Maria Rilke
Cory is a Death Doula, End of Life Care Consultant, Mother, Reiki practitioner and Yoga teacher. Her passion for working with seniors and navigating all the beautiful and numerous aspects of death comes from a lifetime of spiritual practice and an interest in truly wholistic health and well being. Cory began her career teaching yoga for every body with a focus on movement for Seniors. With a desire to move into deeper work and stay connected to a population that she always felt at home with, end of life care was a natural fit. Cory understands that no two journeys are alike. She has the capacity to meet each person and family where they are, helping to explore what a meaningful end-of-life experience looks like, guided by personal values, beliefs, and wishes.
